Effective January 3rd, 2011 Tim Piazza will be the new President of Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics. Tim will be replacing Gene Phaneuf who is retiring at the end of this year. “Tim brings us a wealth of technical and business experience to the Blackstone-NEY team, and he is an excellent leader who will continue on the path of growth and success for our Jamestown Division.” – Jim McEachen CEO CTG, LLC
Tim most recently held the position of Manager of Research and Development Technology with the Aeroengine Division of SKF in Jamestown, New York. Previously, Tim was Assistant Professor at Jamestown Community College where he helped found the Manufacturing Technology Institute. Prior to that he was General Manager of the Precision Cleaning Division of CAE Ultrasonics (the predecessor to Blackstone-NEY ultrasonics). Tim attended The State University of New York at Stony Brook and holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics.
Tim lives in Jamestown with his wife Tammy, and their two year old son Alexander. Tim is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club, is an Adjunct Professor and sits on the Board of Trustees at Jamestown Community College. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing when his busy schedule permits.
