Cleaning Technologies Group, LLC Names Chris Whittaker VP of Sales & Marketing

Chris Whittaker has been named Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Cleaning Technologies Group (CTG).  Mr. Whittaker will be responsible for all CTG sales activities in North America and for all CTG global marketing activities.  The Ransohoff and Blackstone-NEY sales force will report directly to Chris, and he will provide leadership and guidance to the CTG Asia sales team.

“Chris will do a great job leading our sales initiatives as we move forward and he will help assure that we present the same image and message to all of our customers.  In addition, he will continue to leverage the strengths of all divisions as we move to further develop and penetrate corporate strategic customers, and increase our market share on a global basis.” – Jim McEachen, CEO CTG, LLC

Chris is a 2000 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he has over 10 years experience with the Cleaning Technologies Group working in the engineering, proposal, and sales departments.  Most recently he consolidated the new CTG website and launched many new sales procedures and processes.  Chris was responsible for developing the 2011 CTG Sales & Marketing Plan.

Cleaning Technologies Group, LLC Names Tim Piazza President of Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics

Effective January 3rd, 2011 Tim Piazza will be the new President of Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics.  Tim will be replacing Gene Phaneuf who is retiring at the end of this year.  “Tim brings us a wealth of technical and business experience to the Blackstone-NEY team, and he is an excellent leader who will continue on the path of growth and success for our Jamestown Division.”Jim McEachen CEO CTG, LLC

Tim most recently held the position of Manager of Research and Development Technology with the Aeroengine Division of SKF in Jamestown, New York.  Previously, Tim was Assistant Professor at Jamestown Community College where he helped found the Manufacturing Technology Institute.  Prior to that he was General Manager of the Precision Cleaning Division of CAE Ultrasonics (the predecessor to Blackstone-NEY ultrasonics).  Tim attended The State University of New York at Stony Brook and holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics.

Tim lives in Jamestown with his wife Tammy, and their two year old son Alexander.  Tim is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club, is an Adjunct Professor and sits on the Board of Trustees at Jamestown Community College.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing when his busy schedule permits.

Barney Bosse was named President of Ransohoff effective December 1, 2010.  Mr. Bosse will be responsible for all operations at the Cincinnati, Ohio location.  He will report directly to Jim McEachen, CEO of Cleaning Technologies Group, LLC. 

 Barney Bosse has over 20 years of experience with Ransohoff.  His career with the company began in the summer of 1990 as a co-op student / employee while attending the University of Cincinnati, College of Engineering.  During Barney’s tenure with Ransohoff he has successfully held a variety of positions with increasing levels of responsibility, most recently Vice President of Engineering.  He has been a key driver in the CTG Asia initiative and serves as the Operations Executive Coordinator for that division. 

 Jim McEachen said, “It is important to note that in each of Barney’s endeavors he has left a positive mark on the organization.  He is very well respected within the CTG organization and within our industry.”

 Barney received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Cincinnati in 1993.  Just under four years ago he began the MBA program at The University of Cincinnati, and plans to graduate winter term 2011. 

 Barney is married with three children.  His wife Karen is a registered nurse at the Cincinnati VA Hospital.  Barney and Karen have three children; Grady – 4 and twins, Kolby and Karlee – 2.  They live in Harrison, Ohio.  Barney’s DOB is January 24, 1970.

Ransohoff is pleased to announce the LeanJet RB-8 immersion cleaning system, formerly known as the ImmersoJet HC-8. This rotary basket washer  processes eight (8) industrial standard size baskets of parts per cycle, up to eighty (80) baskets per hour. The LeanJet RB-8 cleans using a patented washing and rinsing process of agitation, spray impingement, hydraulic purging through immersion and rotation, ultrasonics, and heated blow-off drying. The patented “triple action” batch cleaning process was developed specifically to process a broad range of challenging parts, especially those with internal bores and passages and complex geometries, making this system capable of meeting critical cleaning expectations.

The LeanJet RB-8 parts washer also features the latest Siemens S7-1200 programmable controller and operator interface screen. This controls platform boosts system flexibility for automation integration, process control and data logging while offering an intuitive user interface.

As with all of the CTG LeanJet products, customer specific basket designs are available to accommodate larger parts

New Product Spotlight- Aquarius Ultrasonic Cleaning System

Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics is pleased to announce its newly redesigned Aquarius tank to tank precision ultrasonic cleaning system. Our patented technology allows us to incorporate seven (7) independent frequencies, 40-80-120-140-170-220-270, in a single tank which makes for a very compact design. Complete with a fully automated robotic transfer this high production cleaning system is designed to meet your most stringent cleanliness requirements. With the programmable controller being capable of running multiple recipes, dictated by an operator or part specific bar codes, this system is completely flexible for any part configuration. The controller can be programmed to track parts through the cleaning process as well as log all process parameter data points including dwell times, process temperatures, ultrasonic settings, and output this data for external storage. Ethernet connectivity is also standard in the Aquarius line allowing for full integration into any production environment.

This system is designed to be modular and fully scalable allowing it to be used for a variety of final cleaning and Passivation processes for the Medical, Aerospace, and many other precision industries.

CTG’s Lean Product Line Gets a Face Lift

The Cleaning Technologies Group, LLC has partnered with Siemens to enhance our Lean product line with  Siemens latest S7-1200 controls package.  This new controller provides more efficient production flexibility, multi-lingual displays, a built in ethernet port, and full automation capabilities, all without increasing costs.  This new controls package adds more analog and real time data capabilities to our parts washers, and more information means tighter process control for our customers.   CTG consistantly strives for continuous improvements and this venture with Siemens allows CTG to provide our customers with the latest technology at a tremendous value.  For more information on the S7-1200 controller and its integration into CTG’s Lean product line,  read the full article in the latest edition of Control Design Magazine.

CTG Receives 2009 Environmental Leadership Award from the Chrysler Group

Cleaning Technologies Group, LLC is pleased to announce that Thomas Haskamp, Regional Sales Manager for CTG, has been awarded the 2009 Environmental Leadership Award for his significant contribution to environmental excellence at the Chrysler Group.

 Thomas was nominated for this prestigious award because of his involvement and leadership in a project that modified fifty plus aging washers at several local automotive facilities, making them more energy efficient. This resulted in maximizing production and quality for the automotive manufacturer while reducing energy costs.  This tremendous undertaking was not only beneficial to the Chrysler Group but also to the environment and surrounding community.

 Thomas Haskamp has over thirty years of experience with CTG.   Over the years he has been involved in numerous upgrades and advances in technologies that have made our washers some of the most environmentally friendly in the industry.

Cleaning Technologies Group is pleased to announce the successful shipment of the first, LeanJet RB-2 parts washer, which was completely constructed and commissioned in our Suzhou, China facility. Designed to fit into your work cell area or a smaller production environment, the Lean-Jet RB-2 immersion cleaning system uses our patented washing and rinsing process of agitation, spray impingement, rotation, hydraulic purging through immersion, and heated blow-off drying.
